On Friday, March 2 students all across America will be celebrating Read Across America, better know as Dr. Seuss’ birthday. Whether you are eating Green Eggs and Ham, reading Hop on Pop or watching the adventures of the Cat in the Hat, you are never too old to enjoy a Dr. Seuss story.
***Do you have a Dr. Seuss book that’s been your favorite? Leave a message here on our Blog describing why it’s your favorite and enter our Library drawing to win a prize.
“You’re never too old, too wacky, too wild
To pick up a book to read with a child.
You’re never too busy, too cool, or too hot,
To pick up a book and share what you’ve got.
In schools and communities,
Let’s gather around,
Let’s pick up a book,
Let’s pass it around.
There are kids all around you,
Kids who will need
Someone to hug,
Someone to read.
Come join us March 2
Your own special way
And make this
America’ s
Read to Kids Day.”
